Edward Douglas is a pioneer in the world of dark instrumental music and immersive atmospheric scoring. As the founder of the legendary group Midnight Syndicate, Edward has co-composed and produced twenty-seven albums, including the first official roleplaying soundtrack for the iconic Dungeons & Dragons franchise and several motion picture scores.
His work with Midnight Syndicate is a cornerstone of the themed entertainment industry; in addition to being featured in films, television, and video games, his music provides the sonic backdrop for hundreds of haunted attractions and amusement parks worldwide. Most recently, Edward composed the score for Universal Destinations & Experiences’ Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas, after contributing to the soundtrack for Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights for nearly three decades.
As President of Linfaldia Records (a division of Entity Productions, Inc.), Edward oversees the comprehensive business lifecycle of the Midnight Syndicate catalog—from production and publishing to global licensing and distribution. Under his leadership, Entity Productions evolved into one of the world’s largest physical media distributors of Halloween-themed atmospheric music, serving clients like: Spirit Halloween, Hot Topic, Party City, Spencer Gifts, Busch Entertainment, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, Grandin Road, and Halloween Express.
Beyond the studio, Edward’s creative vision extends to film and stage. In 2008, he directed, scored, and co-produced the motion picture "The Dead Matter." From 2014 through 2023, he co-wrote and produced the successful multimedia horror-theatrical production, Midnight Syndicate Live!, for Cedar Point.
Edward recently completed Midnight Syndicate's folk horror album "Plankett's Grove," released in August 2026. He is currently preparing for Midnight Syndicate's 30th Anniversary in 2027, and remains available for custom scoring and creative direction.
